We also have a beautiful home on Little Glen Lake tucked away on the very private Day Forest Road just off of FAMOUS M22. Dialogue with Jane DarlingReceived an email from a client telling me that an article on the Sleeping Bear Dunes was in the Vancouver Sun newspaper. We are famous all over it seems. Be sure to let me know if you are traveling or otherwise in some far away part of the country or world and see an article or photo about the beauty that abounds in our own backyard. We'd love to share it with everyone in the Serbin community. JD Bryan's BlogThere is a plethora of activities centered around the Fourth of July weekend. For die-hard Polka fans, the Cedar Polka Fest begins Thursday June 30th and dances right through Sunday July 3th. You say you cannot Polka? Well, there are plenty of Cedar folks that will be happy to teach you! And once you have built up an appetite and thirst, hit the beer tent and grab a mouth-watering brat and pirogues. Come and join the fun! Also happening is the world-renowned Cherry Festival in Traverse City beginning Friday July 1st and running through Saturday July 9th. Some of the wonderful events are the "Heritage Days" celebration on July 5th and a variety of parades. For the canine inclined (like me!), the ever popular “Air Dogs” by the Bay will occur on July 7th and 9th. . . imagine a broad jump contest for dogs - a running start off of a dock and then flying through the air into the bay. This is ALWAYS a crowd favorite. Click here for a full schedule. Dreaming of beautiful sunsets over Big Glen Lake? We are offering a quaint west facing chalet-style cottage on a approximately ½ acre wooded lot with 86 feet of sandy frontage. Please contact me at 231-642-1383 or via e-mail to bryan@serbinrealestate.com for a personal showing. You can start creating your own Glen Lake and Leelanau County memories this summer. We have a new AKC Champion! As you may know, I am a Shetland Sheepdog fanatic and our 13 month-old boy "Solstice Greendor Nostalgia" just finished his title in whirlwind fashion - just three weekends. If you stop by the office, you may be greeted by one of our Shelties. You can check out my dogs at www.solsticeshelties.com. Bryan's BlogAre you ready for the Challenge?? The M22 Challenge is a mini triathlon held in Glen Arbor this Saturday (June 17th). The triathlon consists of biking, paddling and running and the fun begins at 8 a.m.. Our office will be open if you would rather check out some properties in the beautiful Glen Arbor area. In fact, we have a beautiful cottage on Big Glen Lake and it is just a stones throw from the Narrows……….waterfront property for under $600,000 and comes fully furnished. Please call me at either 231-642-1383 or 231-334-2758 if you would to arrange to see this pristine cottage. This weekend is the annual Leland Wine and Food Festival. This is always a great time with food and wine ( some beer) from the area’s best wineries and restaurants. For $15, you will receive an etched wine class, and two tickets for wine tasting. Of course, more tickets are available for purchase. Once you have sampled the goodies at the Festival, head over to “The Cove” a quaint restaurant on the river in Leland. The Cove is a “must” for those visiting the area For you canine lovers, check out www.solsticeshelties.com. They recently had a litter of ten (yes, that is 10 Sheltie puppies). One or two may still be available if you are looking for a new summer pal. Quote of the week: “Believe deep in your heart, you are destined to do great things” - Joe Paterno Dialogue with Jane DarlingBefore you get too busy with all the activities of summer, please remember to give a pint of blood, if that is something you are able to do. My son and I responded to a call earlier this week from the Michigan Community Blood Center of Northwest Michigan. Seems I was eligible again to give. They make it so easy by calling to remind me. I was surprised to learn I reached the four gallon mark with this visit and received a pin to signify my accomplishment. They are always grateful for the donation and I always tell them I can't do a lot of things; but I can do this, so I am happy to do it. Thankfully, my family is healthy but many are in need, so I am always glad to see others joining me as I donate a pint. Maybe I'll see you there the next time. Jane Darling Bryan's BlogDO you know what National Holiday is this weekend?? Nice try! It is National Open House Week…….
